This course will provide an overview of the compliance and enforcement dimensions of US import transactions. Attendees will, through this presentation, gain a basic understanding of:

- The sources of authority which comprise the legal and administrative framework regulating US import transactions
- The dynamics associated with a typical US import transaction

- Entry, clearance, liquidation, and protest processes
- The tools and techniques used by CBP and PGAs to exercise administrative oversight
- The application and mitigation of administrative enforcement actions

- Policy and practice resources
