The WSBA International Practice Section invites you to attend a CLE presentation on “RECENT FCPA DEVELOPMENTS AND CONDUCTING INTERNAL INVESTIGATIONS.”
Over the last year, there have been several high-profile matters involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Additionally, last November, the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission issued their long awaited Guide to the FCPA. Companies involved in international trade must be aware of these recent developments with the FCPA to implement a robust compliance program. Companies involved in mergers and acquisition activity need to know what types of due diligence are necessary in order to avoid successor liability. All companies need to know how to internally investigate incidents to determine if disclosure to the U.S. Government is needed. Join Larry Ward as he provides an overview of the FCPA and these recent developments. The session will also provide an overview on important considerations for building compliance programs and investigating internal incidents.
